Birthday of Slovenia

The birth of Slovenia, but first the conception, as in the show PRVI NA OBISKU (click to listen), said the first captain of the Slovenian army, Mr. Tone Krkovič, is the essence for the existence of the Slovenian nation. A good year before the conflict, a strictly planned plan was created, which was implemented in the war for Slovenia, in June and July of 1991. Within the JLA country, I. Bavčar, J. Janša, T. Krkovič, J. Kolenc gathered and formed a state document that was also confirmed by other dignitaries of the time.
It was difficult but beautiful, said Mr. Tone Krkovic.

One of the key skirmishes was on June 28, when Slovenian troops stopped and disabled an armored column of the JLA on Medvedjek. Another important clash, where TO also dealt a heavy blow to the JLA armored column, was on July 2nd in Kraków Forest. In the evening of that day, the Slovenian presidency announced a unilateral cease-fire, concluding that the JLA offensive had already been broken. Over the next two days, the JLA tried to change the situation on the ground with new units, but it did not succeed. By July 4, TO occupied all border crossings, and JLA units began to return to their barracks.
