Cottage cheese and beans rolled dumplings (štruklji) I gold and silver award

The Rural Women’s Association of Mirna Peč, in cooperation with the Slovenian Farmers’ Union, prepared the 7th national exhibition of rolled dumplings made from pulled and leavened dough. They received a total of 66 rolled dumplings for evaluation. Among them were also cheese and bean rolled dumplings from the farm Pr’ Okornu. Rolled dumplings can be prepared in different ways, they can be boiled in water, steamed or baked. At the farm Pr’Okorn, they decided to take rolled dumplings, the recipe of which was brought to the village 60 years ago by mother Ivanka, for evaluation. In addition to them, they also prepared bean rolled dumplings, which were supposed to be baked according to the basic recipe, but they found that they are better cooked.
The commission, consisting of two three-member experts, was also satisfied with the following. They received a gold award for cheese rolled dumplings and a silver award for bean rolled dumplings. Visitors to the Pr’Okornu farm are welcome all year round on Saturdays and Sundays, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Only pre-ordered guests are accepted for lunch, the only way the food can be freshly prepared.
